Section I: Declaration of Policy, Purpose, and Intent

In order to provide for an adequate supply of potable water during conditions of drought, high usage, contamination or other emergency conditions, the WIEDENFELD WATER WORKS, INCORPORATED, herein equal to WWW Inc, hereby adopts the following regulations and restrictions on the delivery and use of potable water. The reuse of water or graywater is unregulated, thus not limited by this plan and encouraged to meet needs to sustain the landscape during limited water supplies.

Water uses regulated or prohibited under this Drought Contingency Plan (the Plan) are considered to be non-essential and continuation of such uses during times of water shortage or other emergency water supply conditions are unauthorized and may subject the violator(s) to increasing water use restrictions and possibly discontinuance of service.

This plan must not conflict with TCEQ’s minimum water system capacity requirements of 30 TAC Chapter 290.45 under normal conditions. Additionally, these water restrictions don’t apply, if the utility fails to take all immediate and necessary steps to replace or repair malfunctioning equipment.

I, R. Charles Wiedenfeld, being the responsible official for WIEDENFELD WATER WORKS, INCORPORATED, requests a minor tariff amendment with this Drought Contingency Plan.

Section II. PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT

The PRESIDENT or his designee shall monitor water supply and/or demand conditions on a WEEKLY basis and shall determine when conditions warrant initiation or termination of each stage of the Plan.

The triggering criteria described below are based on the combination of indicators that affect availability; supply (drought, natural disaster, chemical or physical contamination or act of terrorism) and demand. A point system is utilized to indicate attainment of each supply limitation. One, two, three or four points are accumulated upon attaining or exceeding each condition indicated under that point. Points are cumulative upon attaining more than one (1) trigger condition.

Utility Trigger Mechanisms       1 pt.           2 pts.          3 pts.         4 pts.

Aquifer Elev.-Zone A*                <1410’       <1390’      <1370’          <1350
– Zone B**                                < 650’         < 640’       < 630’          <627.
Well’s daily operation (minutes)   >700           >1000       >1200           >1400

Electrical supply outage, chemical contamination or other non-repairable disruption of the water supply exceeding a 24 hour period equals 8 points (Mandatory Water Rationing).
